Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms", "Agreement") carefully before using the Amoris dating application (Android APK) and website (knopper.ro/amoris/), operated by Knopper ("we", "us", "our").

By downloading, accessing, or using Amoris, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the application or website.

1. Eligibility & Age Requirement (18+)

• You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or use Amoris.
• You affirm that you have never been convicted of a felony or a sex offense.
• You agree to comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws when using our service.

2. Account Creation & Security

• You must provide truthful and accurate information when registering (birthdate, gender, display name).
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
• Each individual may only create and maintain one active account. Account sharing or selling accounts is strictly prohibited.

3. Social Authentication (Instagram & Facebook)

When authenticating through Meta platforms (Facebook Login / Instagram Login):

• You grant Amoris permission to access your public profile details and imported media in accordance with your granted permissions and Meta Platform terms.
• You may disconnect your social account at any time in the app settings or via your Meta settings.

4. User Content & Photo Ownership

• You retain all intellectual property rights in the photos, text, and messages you upload to Amoris.
• By posting content on Amoris, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, host, and distribute your profile content to other users strictly for the purpose of operating the dating service.
• We reserve the right to monitor, review, and remove any content or photo that violates our community standards.

5. In-App Matching & Communications

• Matching is based on mutual interest (swipes/likes). Both parties must indicate interest before chat features become active.
• We do not guarantee that using Amoris will result in successful romantic connections or in-person meetings.

6. Safety & In-Person Meetings

• You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, both online and offline.
• Always exercise caution when meeting people in person (meet in busy public places, tell a trusted friend, arrange your own transportation).
• Amoris does not conduct criminal background checks on all users.

7. Intellectual Property

The Amoris name, logos, artwork, software codebase, database structure, and user interface designs are the proprietary property of Knopper and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

8. Account Termination & Deletion

• You may delete your account at any time via Profile → Log Out / Delete Account or by following the instructions on our Data Deletion page.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account without notice if we believe these Terms have been violated.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Knopper shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the service or interaction with other members.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Romania (European Union), without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
